Painting House painting, both interior and exterior, provides two primary functions.
If the surface isn’t properly prepared, and the proper paint isn’t applied, the surface will not be protected as well as it could, nor look as good as it should. With exterior painting other factors come into play. Why is the paint peeling? Is there wood rot or mildew? Are there improperly pitched gutters? Is water vapor penetrating through the house because of inadequate venting? Inside questions such as do you want the walls to reflect light or absorb it? Was that ceiling at one time painted with calcimine? What’s the best product to use on a bathroom ceiling?
